Plain-language terms

Terms of use

These terms describe the limits and responsibilities that apply when you use the public Clairos Atlas service.

An informational index

Atlas organizes automated event metadata and links to original reports. Its titles, categories, clusters, locations, and timestamps can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Atlas is not legal, medical, financial, safety, or professional advice. Verify important information with the original publisher and other authoritative sources.

Publisher content and external sites

Publishers control their own reporting, availability, copyrights, corrections, paywalls, and privacy practices. A link from Atlas is not an endorsement. Atlas does not grant rights to publisher content and does not guarantee that an external page will remain available.

Acceptable use

You may browse and link to public Atlas pages. Do not disrupt the service, bypass access controls, probe protected paths, introduce malicious traffic, or use automation that materially interferes with other visitors or Atlas operations.

Availability and retention

Atlas is a rolling index, not a permanent archive. Records expire, classifications change, and the service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued. Clairos does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Optional support

Contributions through Clairos are voluntary one-time support payments. They do not buy ownership, special access, a subscription, or a hidden feature tier, and they are handled outside Atlas under the terms shown on the Clairos contribution page.

Disclaimers and contact

Atlas is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Clairos is not responsible for decisions made from automated Atlas labels or for content, outages, or conduct on external publisher sites. Questions about these terms can be sent to connect@clairos.ai.
