Privacy by restraint
Privacy policy
Atlas is designed as a public, read-only event index with no accounts, advertising profiles, or user-submitted content.
Last updated July 18, 2026
No account or ad tracking
Atlas does not ask visitors to create an account, set an advertising profile, or provide personal information to read public pages. Atlas does not load analytics or advertising scripts, sell personal data, or use cross-site advertising trackers.
Routine server data
Like nearly every website, Atlas infrastructure receives technical request data needed to deliver and secure the service. This can include an IP address, requested path, timestamp, user agent, referrer, and related security or error information. Access is limited to operations, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting, and logs are rotated as part of normal maintenance.
Public event metadata
Atlas processes public GDELT Event Export records and publisher source URLs. This is source-index data, not information submitted by Atlas visitors. Atlas does not fetch or store publisher article bodies, excerpts, or images.
External publishers and support
Opening an original report takes you to the publisher, whose privacy practices control that visit. The optional Clairos support link also leaves Atlas; Clairos and its payment provider handle that separate flow. Atlas itself does not collect card details or process contributions.
